I have begun delving into the inner workings of the girling rear caliper on my 86 5000CS Turbo, to wit, I have been probing the depths of the bleed screws, in order to clear out all the old detritus and install new threads and beautiful new screws. I have been excavating for what seems like several weeks now, and have found that there seems to be an inlet on the side of where I have been drilling, coming in at an angle from the left, as one looks into the original path of the old screw. Is this the outlet path of the brake fluid, or is it possibly some path that I myself created in some fugue state I attained while lying under my car in the dooryard? If so, would this be a problem? I need to know before continuing and installing the new threads that the fluid will actually flow out of the new screw, or if I have made a complete mess of the situation and should order a new caliper set. If anyone has done new bleed screws on a caliper of this sort, I would like to hear about it.

And the caliper is hooked to the car, maybe try pumping some fluid out to see what happens?

Maybe it'll even clean things out a bit?
