All appears to function well until you turn on the headlights. Then the turn signal lights and highbeam indicator light go on dimly.

Anyone experienced this? Someone must have since I have two IC's doing the same thing.

My '91 100 had a similar problem, plus both turn indicators flashed at the same time regardless of which way turn lever was going! Found in a search of this forum that the circuit boards were prone to developing cracks at solder points (recomended resoldering). Replaced the IC and problem was solved.

did the same thing and running a new ground using belll wire from the negative digital clock pin to a good ground solved the problem. good time to resolder the pins for the speedo while you have it out. check the archives.

There are two aux relays behind the auto check main unit (located under dash pass side) that are called "inst panel lite booster". I haven't checked mine yet but I'm thinking they are causing a similar problem in my car which is sometimes when I turn on my headlights the inst cluster will go very dim. I'm thinking the connections are bad or the relays are bad.

The grounds aren't making it to the other half of the circuit board. I posted a fix in detail a while back as mofologic wrote. Do a search for it. If you can't find it, email me.

try, try again I suppose. Perhaps I'll just swap another dash in.
