Well, after waiting for two years to get an A4, I finnaly picked one up this past weekend.
The dealer had three '99's left that he was letting go at invoice.
When I first got out of college a couple of years back I could afford what i really wanted, so waited on the sidelines watching helplessly for my time.
The car is impressive and a huge, a huge change from the VW Passat that I was driving...
I plan on getting the windows tinted this weekend and would like some first hand experience on the different types. I had titanium tint on the VW but it really cut back on my Radar detector.
what a rush!!

Any additional info from 2.8 owners would be appreciated!!

I just picked up my 2.8qms last week and am having a blast with the car. Unfortunately, I am out of town for 3 WEEKS!!! My A4 is all alone.. Anyway, enjoy the car Andy, had it a week already did 400 miles!!

and I'm having a hard time describing it to everyone, but the reaction that I have gotten from friends is very positive, they all love the color.
it's a mix between coco, bronze, and little purple... it maches the ecru/onix interior prefectly.
I'll definitely have some pictures soon for all to see.

I'm in Houston, also. At 7500mi took our Pelican Blue A4 2.8 back to the Dealer (Don McGill) and had them send it to the place they let do their tinting. We used metalized dark gray and it looks great with our color. I also saw a bronze tint on an A8 they had just got back that would probably look good on yours. I also think there are other colors. Did a good job, but was not cheap!
