how often should blades be changed and should i buy new from dealer or from autoparts store, can anyone suggest a quality brand?

...on how anal you are =) In Europe, all car clubs / manufacturers recommend that you replace them 2x a year - before and after winter season. I seem to be the only one - in Europe and here - to actually follow that advice. Not so necessary in CA where we get hardly any rain, too.

So far, with my car still under warranty, the only thing I had to do so far is to say "wipers ineffective" with my service and they were replaced each time for free. After that, I so far always bought OEM stuff (with other cars) at maube $6 per set or so.
