Just bought the new A4 today.WOW!!!!!!!!
I am hearing a lot of stuff about different kinds of chips. I am impressed with the 1.8t but can't help myself....I want more!
Suggestions? Stats? True life tales?

I thought the 2000s were not available without an order yet. Where'd you buy yours? You get a "good" deal?
Thanks, and enjoy, I envy you!

On my third trip to the dealer, I was looking over the 99.5's when I stumbled upon two '00s on the back lot that had just come in. The remaining 99's 2.8Qs were Tips, but one of the 00s was a 5 speed. Silver/black with sport and convenience packages. It had everything I wanted (Quattro, in-dash CD, computer, sunroof, etc.) and actually priced out better than the 99.5s I was looking at. Needless to say, I bought it on the spot, and actually got a better deal than I figured I would have using carsdirect.com ($1500 off sticker). I really like the sport package and the changes for 00 (door handles, radio cluster, ambient lighting, etc.). Truth is, I love this car so much I would have paid more for it. We went through the allocation through the end of the year and there were no 2.8Qs due until mid-December.

I got it off the lot in Highland Park IL. They only had three, two with all the options I wanted. Red and Silver - went with silver. The onlt option that I wanted but did not get was the Xenons, I would have had to wait until Dec 20 for delivery.

There are numerous chips available. The best advice I can give is don't get caught up in the flavor of the month. Every few months there's a new hot chip that everyone seems to be buying. Do your research, and ask specific questions. Also, try to get together with someone in your area whose car is chipped and get a ride from them. Also, going with a chip distributed in your area has its advantages as the installer can make adjustments if necessary and there is no down time involved. Good luck and enjoy.

PS Get out to some drivers ed events and/or autocross. One thing everyone seems to forget is that improving the driver's skill is one of the keys to making the car faster.
