I replaced it with a good one from a bone yard, but now it leaks where the sensor plugs into the bottom of the tank. I am not sure that I installed it correctly. Does it push or twist into place? Such a wierd looking connector.

you have to replace the tank.
You can't just replace the sender.
The wiring connector has nothing to do with the leak.

I fixed mine with Ankney's spare(thanks!), but have since fixed overflow tanks with the plastic radiator repair kit from Autozone. That's assuming it's a crack, not the connector.
