My car failed inspection on two minor points. 1 bad tire, 4 new ones fixes that. The other point of failure was hte reverse lights failing to work. Fuse checks out OK. Still waiting for the Bentley manual to show up, so thought I would ask for some input here.
Tips?
TIA

Fuses are good. Wiring looks ok, but looks don't count for much. I was hoping to rule out the reverse light switch before getting into the wiring too much just yet.
Can anyone point me in the direction of the reverse light switch? Manual tranny. Bentley will be here this week, will be a great help when it does get here.
Thx

first. Didn't do anything. Its kind of hard to get to. you need a large wrench in a small area. After getting it out and testing the old one I found it checked OK. About 6 months later when the dash lights were acting up I checked the trunk hinge as those on the forum told me and found about 8 severed wires. just strip off the tape and look carefully. Fixed the instrument lights, trunk parking lights, trunk light, and reverse lights in one half hour laying in the trunk:-) I spent a lot of frustrated time under the car when the trunk hinge is where I should have started. So that is where I'd check first.

OK, I will take a closer look there. Though I have no problems with anything but the reverse lights. Having just walked outside in some very cold weather, apparently my trunk light doesn't work either. I don't want to lie in the trunk in February ;-(
