Well boys... it was short but sweet. The advantage of having new Toyo winter tires is that you can go like heck and stop just as fast...especially in a TQ. The disadvantage is that some ditz in a Buick thinks she can stop just as fast. It is only after the front bumper of her can has planted itself firmly into the place where the rear tire should be that she learns her lesson. I saw her closing and tried to get in gear and drive off to the relative safety of the shoulder of the road (12" of snow - no problem). I didn't make it. I had enough time to manage the thought and start the action when... BLAMO! Time to start looking for another one.

Deceased... 1989 Audi 200 Quattro (early model with MC1, MAC11 ECU)

The bright side? I have all the spare parts I'll ever need for the next one ;-)>
