did any plain 5ks have a factory logo, plate, whatever you call those things on the right side of the trunk where you would see the turbo plate? or, is it a dealer or owner add-on for whatever insane reason. the reason i am asking is because i have seen a 5k sitting in the same place for about a month and am thinking about it as a parts car. haven't been able to pop the hood and the pitbull chained nearby makes close range looking dangerous at best.

Audi put the "fuel injection" badge on the back of non-turbo 5Ks for model years 1984 and 1985. Later non-turbo 5K models for years '86,'87, and '88, were still fuel injected, but were sold without the "fuel injection" badge. Why.......who knows why????????? Maybe Audi ran out of badges, or.....so because so many cars, by so many manufacturers, had some sort of fuel injection by '86, that it was no longer a great marketing tool.........Rooster

My 85 4k came with it, and I took it off a few years back, seeing how it looked "old old school".
Oh well.

little things different, like headlights. Also, Climate Control unit is a little different. Early '86 is same as '84/85. Later '86 like '87/88. Some other small stuff too. Like larger front wheel bearings on later 86 models.
