Tilling's

After driving my A4, she ordered her own and it just came in today. There were a few problems though.
#1, it has leather !!!
#2, instead of grey, it was tan.
#3, Instead of aluminum, it was wood.
#4, No CD Changer
Here's the thing, she really wanted grey with aluminum and does not care too much for the tan but she does not want to wait another few weeks. Also, we cannot decide if the tan looks alright with silver.?
I am wondering if it might actually have some additional value being that 1.8's do not typically have leather. What do you guys think about the color scheme and how much is having leather and wood worth over vinyl and alluminum. She said there is an upcharge but I forgot how much it was.
1. What color is the car? That would make a difference on whether the tan or grey would be best.
2. CD changer is a dealer installed option. They do not come from the factory with CD changers.
3. I do not see how they could charge for an option that is not supposed to be on the car. What options were supposed to be on the car? Does the dealer invoice or anything from Audi say that it has leather?

Unless it's a new option for the MY2000, 1.8T do not come with leather or wood. They do come with leatherette, which looks and feels like leather, but defenitely not wood.

Leather and Wood are very commonly added at the dealer - check out www.classicsofttrim.com for one provider.

http://www.classicsofttrim.com</a

Your Mother is may be getting hornswaggled, bamboozled and doubletalked. The A4 1.8T model is neither available with leather, nor wood trim. It is available with leatherette, a simulated-leather material. If the seat is leatherette it will be perforated, the leather is not. A more telling sign is whether or not the seats are power, once again, not available with the 1.8T.
Furthermore, no A4 is available with a tan interior (from the factory)the closest is Ecru a far lighter, almost bone white color. Open the hood, and check to see if your 1.8T liter four cylinder is actually the 2.8 liter V-6. Many dealers are not moving the 2.8 models nearly as fast as the 1.8T and may have "upgraded" your mother without her knowledge or consent. I've seen far more devious maneuvers from dealers.

one of those dealers that tack-on a bunch of aftermarket stuff like pinstripes, gold trim kits, wood trim kits, etc and then make you pay for it.
I remember seeing an Integra on the showroom with a separate sticker next to the MSRP sticker that listed all the aftermarket crap that was added to the car. What a crock!
