I have had the TAP stage 2 kit for about a year and a half and recently had a mysterious problem. I experienced power loss with a loud blowing noise every time I pressed the throttle. It sounded like my wastgate was stuck open or broke. Anyway I took it to my local dealer and they had trouble diagnosing the problem. They said its something to do with the wastegate and started giving me the runaround that it was my aftermarket chip. Upset with my local dealer I decided to send my ECU back to TAP to get my original chip put in so then I could take it to a different dealer. Upon installing the ECU with the stock Audi chip my car ran like new. I noticed the exhaust note was back to normal, maybe because the wastegate was closing now. What could of caused this problem. TAP said the ECU had a fault code saying a error in the Thorttle Position Sensor. Could this cause the wasketgate being stuck open? Could the TAP chip programming some how become corrupt?
