anybody seen a comparision of different brake pads? I'm trying to decide on which pads to get..considering EBC greenstuff (used them on the jetta and loved them) OEM, hawk hps, metal masters, rotex, kelsey-hayes....any opinions and BTDT would be appreciated.
Driving would be limited to street, moderate to fairly agressive driving.
Thanks,
Jon

So far I've used Pagids, Metal Masters and Porterfields...
Didn't care for the Metal Masters. They were loud, abrasive and ate rotors up fast...
The Pagids were OK but very dusty, The Porterfeilds were good when warm. They were more of a track pad however...
I hear conflicting things about the EBC's. I hear good stuff about Hawks.
I would also consider Mintex and Ferrodo pads. A couple of friends run these pads on thier VW's...

Dang, anyone else have bad things to say about them?? I thought I read a couple of good reviews of them and have a new set just waiting for new rotors before I put them on...

I've got them on two of my cars and have been happy with them. No squeel and very litte dust.

I love these pads....very,very little dust,no squealing after break in period(300miles) very rotor friendly (had on my 90CS for 4yrs.) and drove it hard with some Autocross in also. they not expensive also, thats a plus. There is only 1 guy in the U.S. that can get them since he is the only wholesaler in the U.S. that can get them from germany. Give a Randy a call at 1-888-489-2834 he will take care of you.

I've ran them a couple times and felt that they were pretty decent for the street.

I like the pagid's best, but the squeeling kills me.
And I've tried 3 or 4 different anti-squeels.
Only stays quiet for a couple weeks.

I run these on my car now with slightly larger Brembo rotors in the front and they are dusty as hell, every week I have to clean my rims at least once! They are good pads, best I've had so far just messy. :(
