For what it's worth, I'm under the impression (from photos I've seen of bodyroll during while cornering) that H&R's for the 200 20v (as well as the now non-available Eibachs, for the same vehicle) just don't cut it, at least for autocrossing and similarly demanding stuff, but the markup 2Bennett charges for the Ground Control stuff they sell is outlandish (Ground COntrol's SRP for their 4000Q kit is a mere $399)... 2B seems to insist on a ~two hundred percent profit margin and that's a bit much for me; my principles if not my pocketbook! :)

Springs can help keep the car flatter in the corners, but the weight is the weight. The 200 is a great car, but not my first choice for autox

S-cars lists the curb weight of a 20v at about 3400 pounds. I personally think that's a bit light. I'd say more around 3600. The UrS's weigh 3800, and they are definitely heavier than a Type 44. Now, I've never actually weighed my car, and I can see where you could round off the weight of the vehicle to 4000 pounds, but in car speak, every pound counts, and most audisti would hesitate to call a 3600 pound vehicle close to 4000...

Now I agree that a 20v is not the prime auto-x car. It is heavy for that application.

The 2Bennett CO's do help immensely with body roll, however, though I can't say I've compared them to the Eibach setup. Especially if you dial in the max dampening on the front strut inserts, and lower the rear CO's to minimum gap. They work well that way on the typical track, though they are harsh on the street, given that they are valved for the heavier S cars.

I've talked with Ground Control about selling direct before. Their reaction was, "That's fine, but we just don't know which set you need. 2Bennett gets 3 or 4 different sets made by us."

What if four of us bought one kit from 2Bennett, and then bought three more from GC? Effectively, we'd be getting the set for $600, which I think is a fair deal.

Of course, maybe 2Bennett would do the same deal on a group buy...

The other thing we could do is send a front strut and a rear shock assembly to GC, so they can figure out what to sell us...
