I'm trying to figure out if Pelican Blue is in my future, but I'm having a heck of a time trying to figure out what it *really* would look like on a '00 Avant..

When I go to "Build Your Audi" at the AoA web site (http://www.audiusa.com/cars/a41a/build.htm), the Pelican Blue image looks great to me. It's sort of a gutsy, metallic, medium blue. But when I go to the UK Audi web site (http://www.audi.co.uk/newcars/A4Avant/), choose the A4 Avant 1.8 SE (which has the roof rack and 10-spoke "sport" wheels) and color it "Kingfisher Blue" (which is a "Lifestyles" color--the UK equivalent of "Cool Shades"), it comes out much lighter than Pelican Blue at the AoA site.

Is Kingfisher Blue lighter than Pelican Blue, or is it just Pelican Blue by another name? Is the *real* Pelican Blue a medium or light metallic blue?

Are you folks happy with your Pelican Blue cars, or do you get tired of it?

For that matter, do you suppose Jaipur Red is the same as India Red?

There's a Pelican Blue Avant sitting in the showroom of Zumbach Motors in NYC. I just came back from the dealership and it's sitting right there for all to see. It's probably a 99.5 - i remember seeing fogs on it.

This pic is a little washed out (lousy original prints) and doesn't capture the nearly luminous quality of the color. I've had the car 17 months and have yet to experience buyer's remorse (except that I still want a TT quattro %^). The closest I've seen to Pelican Blue is the bright blue Ford offers on its models. It's almost a dead-on match.

bought my 99.5 Avant sight unseen and agonized during the five month wait if I chose the right color. I've had it for three months now and have absolutely no regrets. For the fist couple of weeks everytime my wife and I got in the car we would say "thats one damn blue car". We love it

I love my 97 Pelican Blue. I have the sport package so the 5 point rims. That is the best combo. Find 5 points!!!
I wasn't sure of the color when I bought it, but it really grows on you. I love it being a rare color. Greay Leatherette inside.
I had a 86 Coupe GT and loved it because I would only see one every few months, with the pelican blue, I have kept a rare color if not a rare car. :o)
