Like you need more projects Jim ;-) 10vt CQ or 90q ring a bell? :D Jim Bush 04-07-2003, 10:19 AM But that would be so much fun. I have farmer friends that have 1000's of acres of land. I could have fun I know I could. Jim Bush Holland, MI cuatrokoop 04-07-2003, 10:46 AM squidix9 04-07-2003, 12:24 PM Oswego is right around the corner from me, why don't I know that car? I'm guessing it'll go for around $6-8K, let's see how close I am. Might be worth a gander, see if I can use any parts. AudiSport4000 04-07-2003, 02:51 PM That is, once you help me with a nice WP, TB and accessory belt job on the 4kq ;) Looks like an interesting car, hope you win! Mike cuatrokoop 04-07-2003, 03:44 PM You can do that stuff with your friends air tools Mike, trust me ;-) That way you don't have to bug Jim so he can finish the 90 up, put the MC-2 in his CQ, and play with a rally car :D SteveAngry 04-07-2003, 04:22 PM Sweet! If you bought that car, I'd be over at your house all the time bugging you about it... So, maybe you shouldn't buy it then :) Steve Michigan RussB 04-07-2003, 07:35 PM Interesting car, but, be advised . . . Western New York gets lots of "lake effect" snow. Monroe County, NY (includes Rochester) was cited by the US EPA for damage to the environment caused by their liberal use of road salt(!). Cars quickly turn to swiss cheese there if driven in their snowy winters. (Sensible people there drive a throwaway beater from November through April, and garage their good car during those months.) Typically, western NY cars' drivetrains outlast their bodies. Used car guys there buy high mileage southern cars with blown engines/transmissions but solid bodies, and install an engine/transmission from a western NY car that's succumbed to salt-induced terminal body cancer (which usually occurs within 3-5 years). I'd wanna examine under the hood, in the wheel wells, beneath the car, etc for signs of terminal corrosion. Maybe this is why the seller doesn't have photos of these areas. Does the seller have anything other than 'action photos'? |
