It turns out the throttle switch was bad. I took it apart and resoldered the connections and now...well lets just say I was almost brought to tears of joy after feeling real acceleration in 2nd gear! I now am in love with my car!!

Where were the connections bad. Inside? My mechanic just told me my TPS was bad and ordered a replacement. He says the female connector is corroded as well and they will have to try and salvage/clean it somehow.

I think it's cool you could repair yours.

I took it apart and resoldered the appropriate connections...check sjm's site for details...I've discovered very recently how awesome his site really is....he has an answer for everything!
