Would it effect anything if i take off the belt off my ac compressor?

Might be a stupid question, like it might not. i rather ask before i do snip snip for the belt.

i don't use my A/C and never used it, in fact, my canister is empty so figure that i could save a bit of fuel and horse power if i get rid of my A\C compressor belt.

Thanks

PS: got my pictures in yesterday, i'll scan and put it here. BLUE LED =D

the A/C belt is hooked to a clutch mechanism on the front of the compressor. When the compressor is not working, the clutch pully spins with very little resistance. You shouldn't notice any difference at all.

Leave the belt along. If nothing else it will help to prevent rust from forming on the pulley. Rust on a pulley will chew up belts if you or the next owner decides to repair the AC. As pointed out by rooster_2 the belt is on a clutch pulley which will not help to increase any major horsepower by removing it.
