I replaced the MF temp sender in my 86 5000S. When I took off the old sender, the wires were already detached from the connector as some were so corroded. The connector housing was also in bad shape so I just crimped new terminals to the wires to connect the wires directly to the pins. I connected different wires to different pins in the sender as I wasnt sure which wire went where. One combination blew the fuse to the instrument panel. I finally got the right connections to pins thru the help of this forum. But now, the engine won't start (the starter is working). Might my messing around the wires with the pins in the sensor blow somthing in the ignition system?

You are no longer activiating your cold start valve/injector

Did you check all the fuses?

Make sure you didn't blow the one for "fuel injector control unit"
