Hi,

I saw the pics of Andrew Rastetters `84 5000S on
Forums page 2. Nice car btw.
I have the same headlights on my `86 5KS, thanks
Steve Ankney! The twin headlights are unique in
Germany.
But since I´ve installed this headlights, the
chrome moldings fit not very good. I had to saw off a piece, and I could not fasten the thin black
plastic molding strip between the chrome moldings
and grille/headlights.
Which parts I have to change?
The front chrome molding in the middle fits perfect, but will this `86 part fit to the `84
corner chrome moldings?

do you have the grille and front chrome pieces from the 84 ? Or you just fit the twin headlights in the place of the single? thanks for the comment on the car by the way ;)

Hi Andrew,

the grille is the same at `84 and `86-`88 non-Turbo Models, I just replaced the boring standard
Euro-headlights by the U.S. spec. `84 twin headlights. The grille and the middle chrome molding fits perfect, but the two corner-over- bumper moldings seems to be different.

Hey Christian

Well I would say get all the front head light moldings from the 84 US spec. Not the original euro spec moldings that were on there, I know the US ones have to be a bit different. If you have all of that installed, and its still not fitting correctly, I guess you would have to figure out a system of spacers and stuff.
