Hi Guys ,I have just changed the timing belt on my 10v turbo automatic.Problem is how do I tighten the centre bolt on the pulley/damper(without the motor turning) and to what torque?Seems like a special tool is needed? Please help

One tool holds the crank pulley and the other is used to tighten the bolt with a 3/4" torque wrench. The tools aren't terribly expensive. I have a set and have used them 15-20 times in the last 12 years on my cars and friends' cars.

The torque at the bolt ends up being VERY high, like 400 lbft.

You MUST get it this tight, or you risk the bolt loosening and the bad things that will happen as a result.

Thanks for the help.Hope I'm strong enough to tighten to that torque. Will check for the tools today.
