Well, I had to let her go, and she's going to a good home. Quattro lister Ben Swann bought my TQW tonight, and he's headed back to Maryland as I type this.

When I picked up Ben at the airport, he drove me back to the house, and wanted to see what the old girl would do. Got her up to a rock solid 110 mph before he backed off. She still had plenty of juice after 132,000 miles, gotta love a healthy turbo motor.

Kind of sad seeing her taillights recede into the distance that last time, but since he and his wife already have another TQW - a pearl one - now they will have a matched set.

A chapter of Audi ownership ends, and a new one begins for someone else...

it go to a good home. Ben seems to be a pretty good guy. He's helped me out a couple of times on Audi related stuff...

If he owned an Audi it would be "Pentosin! Ouch my wallet!"

Not to worry, spent yesterday at Road Atlanta drinking beer and watching 10 hours of great racing. The number 2 R8 brought home the win, the number 38 privateer (Champion team) R8 held on even after losing a wheel (!), staying in the race, and the number 18 Gulf R8 did a great job!

And the Quattro Corral was great, if you have never been to one of these endurance races, ya gotta go next year...

P.S. Hans Stuck's team in a lower class won first, they gave him the microphone and of course he did his classic yodelling (he does that whenever he wins and people now come to expect it!)

Sorry I wasn't able to meet up with you Steve J. I kept asking around for you but I kept missing you somehow. You may have seen my "Red Baron" 87.5 coupe parked up there. O well, I will meeet you yet! ;)

Mine was the filthy pearl one, I had my 9 year old with me so after the start of the race we were in the stadium seats. Sorry I did not get a chance to hook up w/you.

It was a great day of racing - that Ferrari sounded magnificent!
