are there any cars (other than a 1986 5ks) that ises the same coolant reservoir? the previous owner used the green kind of anti-freeze and rotted the plastic out around the radiator hose.

i believe VW quantms had them... am i right?

and I've put used coolant tanks from junked 5000's on a 89 100 Q and a 89 200 TQ and they were all interchangable. Heck I think that the tanks from a 88-91 80 or 90 or any 4000 would work also...?

If you need a used tank LMK, I have a couple of used ones sitting in the basement. They are yellow but have have no cracks of any kind. Should be good for many miles! Yours free-you only pay shipping. LMK by email...

Also it should be noted that you can get a new one from thepartsconnection.com for around $30. Which is not too bad IMHO...

they all do that once they are old. Do yourself a favor and just get the new one, they are not too expensive, and it is a pain when the brittle plastic of your junkyard one goes (BTDT).
