Car is Audi 5000, non turbo, '86.
No matter what position the AC (Auto, Econ or defrost) is put on there is no air comming out from any of the vents. When driving on the highway, there is some air comming out but it is related to the high speed i guess. If the AC is on, the air that comes out is cold. If the car is not moving - no air blowing at all.
2 months ago, air was blowing ONLY from the top vents but then it stopped for no reason.
Please help and suggest what could be the reasons for this problem. Any relays, bad wires, connections, fuses to check and replace....
It is getting cold and in the morning and windows get very foggy when there is no air blowing at all. Hard to drive. How to fix all this?

Thanks in advance.

I don't hear any noise...just the light on the control unit are lighting when i press the corresponding button...that's about all the changes one can see/hear.
Also when on Auto or defrost....the AC compressor seems to start to work because the car loses a liitle power and if driven with high speed cold air acctually gets inside.

The link below from the Quattro list tells you exactly how to pull and replace the blower, I cheated the first time and did it on my now-gone parts car. When I did it for real on the TQW it went very smoothly.

Blau or others can provide the exact Bosch replacement.

Good luck, and let us know how it goes!
