Elliott 200TQ

I have the bose system in my 1991 200Q 20V and the power source had been disconnected before I bought it. I was going to put in a JVC Camelion(sp?) but with the amplifiers on each speaker, I can't do anything without rewiring. This brings me to my problem now. I went to put the factory player back in, and even when it's connected, it won't display "SAFe" like it's supposed to, thus I can't enter the antitheft code. I have contacted bose and they referred me to Blaupunkt, and they said the dealer is the only one who can help me. The dealer just gave me the code- this is where I actually received the code which I didn't have when I bought the vehicle.
Now, I am wondering what to do. I can ask the dealership if they will replace the player as a defective player- which I doubt they will do. I can rewire or pay someone to rewire my car and remove the amplifieres from the speakers. Or I can trade my old player for a new one at the dealer for $115.
Please assist me!
