Anybody know where I can buy, beg, borrow or steal one of the little round plastic clips that hold the cruise control linkage together on a '87 5000QT? Nearest dealer doesn't have it to sale individually and bimmer doesn't list it. Ideas?

Do you mean the white plastic part that connect the rod from throttle body with
the throttle control part ?
Maybe I have one.
If you need this piece I can send you.

The piece I am referring to is a round fiberglas or plastic with a center whole for the linkage. Linkage runs from the throttle body starting where it connects to the regular throttle linkage swivel. It runs back to where it fastens to a metal bracket which this broken plastic pops into, four inches or so from the vacumn diaphragm for the cruise control. Is this it?

I forgot to say that it is about the size of a nickle.

When you go to the stealer..

Reference to the 1992 2.8L V6 and they will sell you the grommet without having to buy the entire diaphragm assembly.

Someone make some of these.... Please.
I'll buy a few.

The V8 part number for that bushing is 811 907 423. Under $3 from on-line OEM parts places like Sunset (audiusaparts.com) in Oregon.

I'd go with that p/n also, it's 2.44 dollars and takes us 3 days to get to us first. We could mail that out to you for a dollar. Or, your local dealer can get it for you as well but we'd love to help you out. Retail is 4.00 so in this case buying it locally won't cost you extra and you'll get it just a little faster.
