So like there's smoke coming from my engine. I thought it was burning oil because when I shut the engine off, there was still smoke. So I degreased EVERYTHING. And then I start her up and guess what? She's still smoking! I don't think the manifold is leaking and there's no oil. Can't find a hole.

Good news: New York State still passed it.

My car smokes every so often due to a leaking valve cover gasket. Leaks out the rear corner of the valve cover and drips onto the downpipe and then smokes lightly...

Do you have any idea where the smoke is coming form in your engine bay? Check all around your valve cover gasket and cam seals. Also check to see if your rack is leaking hydralic fluid out onto the exhaust or something. Check your coolant lines also...

Does this smoke have any kind of smell? Leaking hydralic fluid smells terrible when burned...

Maybe it's just exhaust from that cracked manifold?
