Does anyone have any cheap suggestions for replacing headliners? I tried JC Whitney for the foam backed material but they are sold out for a month or more. Does anyone know of an alternative?

use the headliner from an early 84-85 5000. These are made from vinyl and can be found fairly cheap at junkyards. You'll never have to worry about a sagging headliner again!

Otherwise there was a thread on the Misc Model forum about this topic a couple of weeks ago. Maybe you can find some ideas there?

I did the headliner on an '87 I had a few years ago. The foam backed headliner fabric is available at most fabric stores now. Exact color match can be a problem. Don't attempt to remove the old backer board from the car. Scour the old backer with adhesive remover and coarse steel wool. Start at the cetner line and work to the sides.

I have seen those solid headliners at the j-yard before, but how do you remove them for the car? Take out the windshield??
