I've read a few postings about replacing the blower motor brushes on the 5k (mine is an 86). I haven't been able to find them. Are they standard size? Is the job straightforward?

someone on the Qlist talking about replacing the brushes on his 5000. Apparently the exact size of the brushes you would need for the blower motor are very hard to find. So what he did was buy some oversized brushes and trim them to the right size. He then soldered them back in and lubed up the bearings and everything worked fine...
