The wiring in my 85 5000S was so screwed up that I disconnected the wiring harness that runs up under the dash and went to a local salvage yard to buy a replacement. They had alot of 5K cars there, most were turbo's and I finally pulled the wiring off a 86 5k wagon. The part is perfect, no cracking, but the green and black wiring that comes from the motor on the drivers door on my car has a different plug/socket, does not match at all. Help, i am stumped.

Would that work? Do you happen to know what those two wire go too?

Use a pair of needle nose pliers to pull the pins out of the new style connector on the new motor assembly and then push them into the old style connector off the old motor assembly. I had to do this on my 5KS

I pulled the connectors off the old connector and finally got it hooked up. Still, im having the same problem, and now the passenger front window only goes down (like the drivers door). I have tested the motors and they are all good, i've even replaced the cracked wires off the new part. I dont know what else to do, this car is a nightmare.

If you have a multimeter, test your switches to be sure they are making contact when pressed. Then check the wire harness comming into the switch to see if you have voltage.

I suspect either your switches are bad, or your wires are broken where they get bent at the door hinge.

Yes the wiring sounds bad. I had to replace my wiring on the Pas. Front door where it comes through the boot, at the hinge. Simply cut the bad (Breaks in wire), and added new peice (4 inchs) and added lots of tape so it wouldn't cut the wires again and this fixed it.
The other doors where OK.
