if a 215/60/15 tire with speedline CQ rims (7X15 offset 37mm) will fit on a non quattro 88 5000? I don't own the rims yet but held them up to the car and it looks like they could rub...? Any ideas?

I'm currently running ronal rims from a 93 90 (7X15 37mm)with no problems...

215/60/15 on the new set of rims(CQ speedlines 7X15 37MM). On the old set of ronals I have wimpy 195/60/15 tires.

I assumed that the new tires would fit because some 5000's came with 205 tires from the factory. I figured one tire size up would'nt hurt anything...

I think the problem may not really be the tires but the offset of 37mm? Maybe I'll flare the rear fenders?

7x15/37mm is ok, but 215/60-15 looks funny with stock fenders. Use 215/55-15 - same diameter and looks good. Don't go 215/50-15 - too small.
