Cruise on, feeling fine. Suddenly cruise shuts off, car slows, and starts jerking. No warning lights. A stop, wait, and restart and no problems on the way back (40 miles) with everything working OK. Fuel filter is recent (about 9 months and maybe 10K) and car had half a tank of gas (only use the good stuff). Car was on level road. Likely the fuel pump?

Dump the codes first to see if there are any outstanding. Then...

Pull the fuel pump relay and see if it has a date code stamped on it. If it is the original (same year as the year model for the car), go ahead and replace it.

Also, is the fuel pump original? Did it whine before the bucking and snorting? Were you low on gas?

It is am 875KSQ. No whine before bucking and snorting. Half tank of gas. Thanks for the input!
