So you are saying that TAP is not a good company to go with when I chip my 95 S6?

MTM, MTM+1, MRC, etc. are refered over TAP.

I have a stock 95 S6, K&N filter, Bailey Diverter valve... I want to chip the car. I want a chip that will offer nearly stock driveability, but will also give me added performance. I know I will sacrifice low-end torque, but I don't want any holes in the power delivery. I like the options given by TAP, especially Stage 2, but I'm willing to consider other options if people on here have had bad experiences.

The link below is to posting in the FAQ. Beneath that post, there are a list of many other alternatives, e.g. Intended Acceleration, Chips-R-us (MRC), Anderson (MTM), etc. that we would recommend over TAP.

A chip that doesn't require changing the Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor from 2.5 bar to 3.0 bar typically gets you 260 hp. A chip that requires changing the MAP to a 3.0 bar MAP typically gets you 270 to 280 hp, but not more. TAP may advertise over 300 hp but they must be magicians because there is no way to safely make that kind of horsepower without over stretching the capabilites of the K24 turbo and stock injectors.
