I noticed that the buttons from the s4 radio don't have the tactile 'click' on the ones from the s6. SchwarzS6 01-30-2008, 03:34 PM SchwarzS6 01-30-2008, 03:55 PM The rear window defogger acts as the FM antenna. The top three lines in the rear window are used for AM reception only and are not heated. The front antenna is supposed to be in the windshield. It should be a fine wire coming up along the passenger side A pillar across the top of the windshield to the center and then down a few inches behind the rear view mirror. If, like me, the windshield has been replaced there is a good chance that you no longer have the front antenna. Also, both front and rear antennas have amplifiers. If you have crappy reception make sure your rear window defogger works. If not that could be the problem. If it does work and if you also have the front windshield antenna then I would follow the test procedures in the Bentley. They have a troubleshooting procedures for both the front and rear amplifiers. I did notice that the 5 amp fuse in the radio is used for the front antenna amp. The rear amp appears to get its power from the same fuse that powers the rear window heater.
