This is what I'm planning on doing:

Car will be in my gargage

Park car with tarp underneath car
Oil Change before storage
Fill gas tank + add stabil
Jack car on jack stands & leave suspension loaded
Hook batt to 1.5AMP battery maintainer (AUTO)
Clean & Wax exterior
Clean Inside
Cover exhaust pipe
Cover Car (Tyvek Cover)

I think that covers everything.

What do you think?

How long will it be not driven. If it is over 3 months or so, I would pull each plug, and spray a little Marvel Oil to prevent corrosion and seizing of rings to cylinder walls. Also change oil & filter, and repeat this before driving car. If possible, I would pull the battery and charge it on a bench rather than in the car in the event of the battery's case cracking and leaking. I have also seen the car "cacoon" which surrounds the car in a plastic bubble, keeping out moisture and rodents. Look for ads in the back of Car and Driver.

I got many, many chips in my hood last winter salt hitting my car. My paint did not look the same after last winter, the salt really takes it's toll on the finish. I tried to wash my car off as often as possible.

Hey I got a ****ty Honda Civic that I drive to work. I work at O'Hare and I don't like leaving my car there, so I've been driving my Civic to work. I figure I might as well drive to Civic full time this winter.
