undo the 2 phillips head screws on the 2 tie down points

put back seats down have a vacum ready, pull carpet back vacum around the top of the pump hole, use the vw fuel pump cap ring remover or whack with flathead screw driver loosen ring vacum again, then remove the top etc etc its not bad and doesnt take long at all.
