Petrol stations here have big signs up telling you to switch your engine off, not to smoke and not to use your mobile.

Back in the day, some cars would generate small sparks (sounds odd, but it was the drivetrains,
engines, weird crap like that.) So it was prudent
to turn off your car so you dont get blown to Mars...but that was back in the day, today all you
have to worry about is pissing off the OBD2...
