View Full Version : Looking for a killer deal in Virginia (or vicinity) for a coworker of mine (any suggestions?)

My coworker, who use to work right next to me at work, has started up our office in Reston VA. He has decided to get an A6. The reason why I am posting this here is because he is trying to get the best deal he can on a new A6. I know very little about dealers out there. I know that in the past AoA was doing some killer deals on the A6 2.8 cars. My question is, what dealers in his vicinity are worth talking to? He is willing to drive a bit to get a deal...even as far as Philadelphia. Anybody know if Jim Hanna is still willing to deal at YBH in Philly? Anybody remember his email address? (for you new guys, Jim Hanna is the General Manager of YBH Audi in Philadelphia - and he use to visit here - not lately though).

Any thoughts? Any dealers that might do a MSRP minus $5-6K on an A6 that has been on the lot for a month or so? I gotta believe that with the new A6 4.2 and A6 2.7T, the A6 2.8 will be harder to move, so they might be more willing to deal. I don't know if my friend will purchase or lease.

Thanks for any responses.

The dealers around here aren't into big discounts. The cars sell too damn well over here. HBL and Heishman's are closest to your friend (I work in Reston too). I prefer Heishman's to HBL, even though it's about 30 minutes farther away.

If he's going for a 2.8 A6 though, he might be able to get a deal. Have him call Mike Mauer @ Heishman's and Patrick (forgot his last name) @ HBL. Oh and have him drop me an email since he's in the area =)

so I suspect they'd give a similar deal on an A6. The Audi salesman's name is "Petey".

I was able to deal for 3% over invoice on a 99.5 A4 2.8 back in February from Ernest Bokro/Brian Brennan at Tischer Autopark (Silver Spring, MD).

Petey Adcock at FSK Audi (Frederick, MD) offered the same deal but had a smaller inventory not within my specs. FSK also had loaded A6's for $500 over invoice around that time. Not sure about now though.
