I went to Wet Okole this morning, and they did the pattern for new A4s around my car. Just like I thought, the seat for '98.5 and '96 A4s is the same except for the side impact airbag. They just slightly modified the old pattern to have a hole where the airbag will pop out on newer A4s. I asked about a group discount for you guys. The guy I was talking to, Phil (I think he was the owner), told me no. They are doing very good business and have about 1000 orders at any given time. They do show cars for several manufacturers. I'm guessing they're doing really well. They have this big catamaran sitting out there that they plan on racing in some TransPacific Catamaran Race :) Anyways, Phil convinced me to change my order from black and gray to all black with light gray Audi rings. Also, it costs Wet Okole about $1000 to make a pattern for seats, and they are planning on doing A6s soon. So they will have patterns for the TT, A4, and A6. No pattern for A4 sport seats though.

I had a set and though they looked OKAY (not great), they were so hot in the summer (worse than any leather or vinyl), that I had to get rid of them. Maybe on Saab's ventilated seats they'd be ok, or in a jeep, but never in a $30-$40K car.

I moved this year from Seal Beach to Seattle and traded my Turbo Banana from Harbor for a Burton Supermodel (not literally, but I didn't bring my old stick to Seattle). If I was still there I'd be right behind you in trying out the seat covers. Please post a pic when its all done.

I had left a black wet suit in the back of my RX-7 a number of years ago. Was that sucker ever hot when I went to retrieve it - that was the last time I left it out in the open.

I would expect the seats to have that same relationship with the hot summer sun...
