I meant to post a before and after pic, but sorry, you'll have to take my word.

Bondo makes a product that restores the black color to faded black plastic pieces (like our UrS4 bumpers). It comes in a small bottle with an applicator that goes on like thin black paste. At first it looks like it's going to come out horrendous, but once it dries, it thins out, blackens up nicely and really makes a night and day difference on old plastic. What's best is that it doesn't rub off, it literally "soaks" into the plastic, and is pretty resistant to fading and car washing. I did mine about 2 months ago and it still looks awesome. The stuff is tough to find - AutoZone used to carry it but not any more.

Just so you know, if you run across it - it works really well.<ul><li><a href="http://www.bondo-online.com/catalog_item.asp?itemNbr=847">This crap works.</a></li></ul>

NOT the polish, about $ 3-4 a bottle.

It is runny like water, so be careful using it.

FYI, there is also Foreverblack, with a VW Mk2 on the bottle you know the stuff works. I used this stuff before I found out about the Kiwi trick, about $ 12 a bottle.

Speaking of which, it is looking like I need to do my upper and lower grills on the S6.<ul><li><a href="http://www.foreverblack.com/">http://www.foreverblack.com/</a</li></ul>
