hey anyone ever had experienced with the oil burning issue. As my few posts about the smoking coming out on the idle.
last week,I brought my car to see the mechanic.
finally,we decided to remove the turbo and brought to the turbo shop to change the repaired kits(Anyway,it's also the time for 200k km).and also replaced the steering rack and power steering pump repaired kits.but finally,we found out that the smokin' is still coming out.
It's driving me crazy man.I also STFA and found that Andreny ever had some similar experienced.
Now my "GUESS" is valve stem seals. So how can i assure that it's really from the valve seals.Any cause left?
Pls help!!!,I'm no way out for this issue.it's driving me crazy.

Have your mechanic do a leak down and compression check. If the cylinders are sealed well it's probably the valve seals not the rings.

Normally,as i remembered if the worn out piston ring, the pressure should be leak down to the belly pan, right?so the pressure should be leak
out to the dipstick.but mine car is still fine.
and also there's only a bit motor oil level dropped not pretty much.
So now can i conclude that we got 2 causes left for this issue?
1.Piston ring
2.valve stem seal.

you can get a tester that screws in where the spark plugs go. you should do the test while the engine is hot I dont have my service manual with me at the moment but im sure someone here can tell you what they should be. Once you have the pressures drop a bit of oil into the cylinder and do the tests again if the pressure increases then it's your rings.

This litle valve has a spring inside of it- may be stuck open?... Check that! By what you told me I find hard to believe that the piston rings and/or the valve seals are bad. If you disassemble the throttle body you can check if oil is coming from there.

See in my pic posted. Is this what you want to mention about? I took this pics since i first got my S-car.Found that there's a tear o the small rubber hose.it's fixed but never known that there's a spring valve inside.anyway,i will try to check again.According to the schedule, the head will be removed in a few days.if you forget this.
Thanks.

While pressureized - depress the plunger with a small tool - make sure it re-seals cleanly.
Leaks? You will be blowing oil.
