Looking at a URS4, What would you pay?
Ok i checked out a 94 urs4 sunday and am seriously considering purchasing it.Here are the details
1994 Audi s4
Black/Blk
86K
Pastore ECU upgrade
Porsche 993 front brakes
H&R springs
Bilsten Shocks
Just replaced - Less than 5000 miles Water pump, timing belt, oil & filter, valve seals & hg, control arms, bushings, brakes & brake fluid, A/C repaired, Head work
All maintenance records kept up to date religiously
Extra set beat up Avus w/snows
The car is in excellent condition, paint is like new and no real dents or dings. Interior is pretty much the same, with normal wear on leather driver side bolster. The car was only driven in one winter, which you can tell since i took a peak at the undercarriage and it looks corrision free.
The car blue books for 8900, but considering the condition, extra items, and upgrades the owner is asking somewhat more.
What would your opinion be on what price a car like this would command? Would you pay over blue book for a car with these
upgrades? Saturday I am going to talk price so I could use some
feedback on what others think or would pay.

The low miles and records really make that car shine. If you're looking for a fairly worry-free...
example, it's probably worth the extra money. How much is somewhat more? I can understand paying $10k for that car, but more than that is getting to be pretty ridiculous.

Re: where did it live?, What would you pay?
I own a 1993 and a 1995.5 right now.
spent a lot of time seeking lower mileage cars.
Gotta ask where did that S4 live.
If it's a rust belt car for example, I'm not too excited.
If it lived in a cleaner area of the country, then I have to agree with above comments.
$10K get it fast. $12k is high but consider this.
The owners who own these cars with THAT mod list don't follow book. Owner has a price in mind, your trick is to find out.
It's a matter of striking a rapport with the owner and influencing him/her to be reasonable.
Common list wisdom is book value doesn't account for mods added and mods are hard to charge $ for.
But come on! if you like the car, it passes mechanical scrutiny test, and it's clean, Previous owner has down the important mods already. That's gotta be worth something.
Where ELSE are you going to find a 86K mile S4 for 10K , or 11K.. or?
I am biased, however what car is worth purchasing for that kind of money to deliver that kind of performance.
If I didn't own 2 already I would consider a buying a car like that.
If you need a Stromung Gen 4 exhaust, write to me!

Re: under 10k is a good deal
The car is from the Northeast, Buffalo NY Area. It has not been driven yr round though, the owner basically drove it one winter, which you can tell.
On off topic note, I have to say this forum format is horrible. Why dont you guys use scars.org to post? OR why doesnt audiword step into this decade and upgrade to the format every other forum is on these days. Its such a pain searching through these posts but whatever.
