Installed Poly Snub Mount, got some questions
when i installed it i put a rubber coupler on it to make it bigger, but the thing it goes into is so big anyway it doesnt seem to really matter? and it made it too big because it wouldnt screw back on, i thought ill jack up the engine a little... get it from resting on the housing and screw it in, well when i jacked the engine up (not much, and with a block of wood between) the whole car would move up!! WTF!
so that didnt work and i ended up installing it without the rubber coupler on it. my question is now, i still have movement in my shifter, its better but still there, and shifting is better but its not amazingly better, would my enging not moving much when i jacked it up indicate i need new engine/tranny mounts? think that would help me a little more, the car just feels really jerky to me, idk, it doesnt have that new audi feel im looking for lol. thanks guys.

In my case it did a huge difference!!
My original mount was completly smashed so I ordered the snub mount from Javad, but after assembling it I didn't notice major diferences on shifting at WOT. Esmerald-urs4 reported good results with this procedure and I decided to give it a shot; WHOOO! Shifting was really IMPROVED!!! No issues on shifting 1-2-3 at WOT, almost no irregular movement on the shifting **** betewen gears!! I must say it's a great mod.

see how yours is sitting in the middle of the housing, mine was more on the bottom
and i couldnt jack it up to make the extra rubber fit. i think i might need new motor mounts?
thats really bugging me, i might take my bellypan off again and take a picture because id really like to reduce the gap, any ideas how i would make it fit though?

thats the thing they all look pretty good
is it possible mounts can get old and stiff?
i tried to lift my engine a tad to install this snub mount and the engine didnt budge, and the whole car moved up, not just the engine, it was unreal.

I didn't understand that on your first post...

You should not do that as you are overloading the other mounts!!! The poly snuber should be placed as much centered as possible, you just have to release the two 12mm bolts.
