Default An electrical short has made itself prevalent now...

Woke up this morning - had to boost the car to get it to start. Drove to work - the car sat for 10hrs. Boosted the car to get it to start. Drove the car home (40mins driving). 2hrs after getting home I go out to start the car and sure enough, she's dead. Boost it - let it run for 15mins. Turn it off; 5 seconds later try to turn it back on; dead as a doornail. Not a single light came on. The car will sit at idle all day long however, so I don't think it's the alternator. Looks like there is a pretty big short somewhere.

About time I start taking that multimeter to the fuse panel I suppose. Maybe this weekend...

Default Have you checked the output on your alternator with a voltmeter?

Also you should charge up the battery and see if it will hold a charge then I would start looking for a draw. It sounds like you might have a battery and or charging output issue judging by your "ABS" post below. Its possible your alternator is not charging enough and or you may need a new battery. I only posted this because it did'nt sound like you had checked the output yet. It should be about 13.8 to 14.5 volt or so. Thats a generalized specification not something I looked up. HTH
