I hope that's a typo. Despite all the work that car is worth maybe half that.

A friend's dad is co-owner of that dealership and the car has just had basically everything done to it. Even so, the car is not worth that amount, but anyways, it is a sales guy's car that "he doesn't want to sell unless it is at the right price." The car just had a paint job, new exhaust put on, interior completely reconditioned and such, all maintenance done, blah blah....I think everyone is right in saying that it is worth 14k tops.

If you are going to drop that much cash to do all that work on a 10+ year old car with over 100k miles you had better be planning on keeping it forever. No one is going to pay anywhere near what it would cost to do all that work plus the value of the car. Besides there are still nice original low mile UrS-cars available.
