Motronic Ignition System and followed the diagnostic steps. When checking for spark coils #3 and #2 did not fire. Swapped 4-pin connectors on POS's: coil #3 now has a spark, #2 is dead again. Checked voltage supply for ingnition coils, it is OK. Also when checking control of POS's LED tester must light up - never did.

Possibly a bad POS & reversed POS output connectors
Perhaps the middle channel of POS #2 has failed, causing your original miss on cyl #5. Then you inadvertently exchanged the connectors between the outputs of the two POS's as VRlifeIM suggested. Coil #2 would then be driven by the dead channel. Also, coil #3 would be connected to the normally unused 3rd channel of POS 2, and would not fire because the input to that channel is not connected. When you then exchanged the POS input connectors, this restored the drive signal associated with coil #3. Since both the output and the input POS connectors were exchanged, the net effect was to move the original miss at cyl #5 to cyl #2.
