Default Specs on 993tt caliper bolts?

Anyone have the specs on the bolts used to mount the 993tt calipers to the RS2 bracket?

Pretty sure it 12 mm dia, what grade 12.9? Length and thread pitch?

I'm going to order these in bulk as there are "always replace" item when removing.

Thanks.

Default I can get to you on this tonight. I wanted mine in stainless, and ordered them...

from a company in either Arkansas or Georgia.

I think those are classified as "always replace"

Default If you're using the RS2 bracket, the RS2 used M12 X 1.5 X 70

The bracket to hub carrier bolts are also M12 X 1.5, but 25MM long instead of 70.

Yes, using RS2 bracket. What grade? Is 12.9 sufficient?

Default I'm holding a brand new factory RS2 bolt in my hand, and believe it or not it's marked 10.9 (edited)

The caliper to bracket bolts are 10.9 (equivalent to a US grade 8), and the bracket to hub carrier bolts are actually 8.8.

I'm very surprised- I would have assumed that they'd use 12.9 bolts for this type of application. (edit to remove part where I forgot a big chunk of that expensive engineering degree and wrote something silly, wrong, and just plain bad)

Simple (short) reference site at URL below. Also note that stainless might be a bad idea- from the site:

"Beware! it is not possible to source 12.9 grade stainless steel bolts. 316 and 304 stainless steel will only be equivalent to grade 4.6."<ul><li><a href="http://www.qldcorvetteclub.com.au/tech/tech_talk/bolts.htm">Queensland Corvette club metric bolt spec article</a></li></ul>

Default Euro FA says M12 X 1,5 X 70 "for modified vehicles", (i.e., it's been upgraded to 993TT caliper)

Part numbers are:
N 100 650 02 Bolt, with hex socket head M12X1,5X70 (Grade 10.9)

and

N 100 880 03 Bolt, with hex socket head M12X1,5X25 (Grade 8.8)

Quick Reply: Specs on 993tt caliper bolts?
