Karl, My fuel consumption jumped up almost 4 mpg after replacing the fan clutch. Thanks again!

The engine driven fan would always be connected and never allowed to freewheel or coast
When the fan clutch goes out it would cause the belt driven fan to run all the time and put added load on the engine and increase fuel comsumption. The clutch works according to temp and disconnects the fan from the drive pulley when the fan is not needed. This removes the drag of the fan from the engine.
