following the Bentley pocedure to check the POS's, I checked continuity and voltage output on the connectors to POS's and a few other connectors on the firewall. After diagnostics engine won't start and there is no spark on all cylinders. Will VAG tool be any help in this situation.

Only if you zapped it with static eletricity
Multimeter continuity test is very low voltage.
I would check your connectors, and make sure you didn't reverse the POS to Coil pack connectors ;-)

You may have blown the ECU fuse. Its above the ECU under the passenger ...
side upper carpet. This was discussed not to long ago. Use the "Search" function on "ECU fuse" since Jan 1/06.
