and channel 51 never went above 81, and went as low as 78, when engine was hot. According to bar1, that is normal in 28 degree weather, which is what we have here in Michigan tonight.

Default well, i just did mine yesterday. if ur mechanic will fix it for free, than fine but if not

Just do it your self, you can get one online for 17 ish or the dealer for 30 ish.

took me maybe 45 minutes, getting my old one out took a lot of work... since yours is new it would take u maybe 30 minutes to change it. you probably already know this, but u can drain the coolant with a hose on the nipple, into somthing clean, and reuse it (what i did but will be flushing soon)

channel 51 before! I forgot to add in the fact that we are missing about 60 degrees of summer heat!

Default Also I was wiggling and messing with the MFTS, and found that by wiggling it...

it messed with the gauges reading. Tomorrow i'm gunna ground a terminal to check gauge function, and replace accordingly.

Default ya i guess its not a huge deal, my CH 51 before was REALLY bad

I dont really know what could of caused it, i looked at the old Tstat and it said 87 degree, and it wasnt stuck open when i got in there. my car wouldnt warm up for crap, i was lucky if my temp gauge showed any activity.

185 Fahrenheit = 85 Celsius (centigrade)

Default No, when my car reach 81-82C it stays there no matter outside temperature or vehicle speed.

When ambient temperature is above 0C I sometimes see 85-86C. This is from Channel 51.
The analog gauge always stays on the 90C mark.
