Thanks to Sean D. I have manufactured a new "pin" for my flywheel. My dad is going to weld it on
tomorrow through the starter hole because I can't weld. Damn I gotta learn how. My dad was an ironworker for most of his life, you would think I would have picked it up at some point.

My guess is that you shouldn't add extra welds at the ends of the "pin". I think the hall effect ...
sensor will want to see a crisp edge at both ends not a "ramp" of weld bead.
And of course, locating the "pin" precisely (??) will be required.
